The Godowsky Collection, Vol. 3 - Carl Fischer, LLC
The third volume of the Godowsky Collection is primarily devoted to one of Godowsky's most remarkable and controversial projects, the virtuosic studies be based on the Etudes from Frederic Chopin's Opp. 10 and 25. Praised and reviled in equal measure when they were first performed and published (1894-1914), these "studies" are both elaborate and respectful commentaries on Chopin's genius by a great admirer, and tests of the outer limits of piano technique.
The volume is rounded out with the 1899 concert arrangements of Chopin's Rondo, Op.16 and six waltzes drawn from Op. 18, Op.64 and Op. 70. As with the previous volumes, the fascinating and extensive notes and biography are by noted Godowsky scholar, Dr. Millan Sachania.

The Godowsky Collection, Vol. 4 - Carl Fischer, LLC
This is the Godowsky Collection most musicians have been waiting for. Leopold Godowsky (1870-1938) was one of the most celebrated pianists of the golden age of the piano virtuoso. A prodigious arranger, transcriber and adapter of existing keyboard music, he was also a gifted composer.
This fourth volume is the distingushed series devoted to his piano works, contains some of Godowsky's best known transcriptions (Albeniz- Tango, Op. 165 and Triana from lberia, Bizet- Adagietto from L'Arlesienne, Bohm- Still Wie Die Nacht, Kreisler- Rondino )on a Theme by Beethoven), Saint-Saens- Le Cygne from The Carnival of the Animals, Richard Strauss- Standchen, Op. 17, No. 2, von Weber- nvitation to the Dance, Op. 65, et.al.) and his remarkable Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Johann Strauss, Jr., as well as his own teriffic Waltz Poems.
The pianistic wizardry on view in this collection is quite simply, mind boggling. This is a volume any serious musician and pianist will want to own and treasure. As before, the excellent biographical sketch and notes on this pieces are by noted Godowsky scholar, Dr. Millan Sachania.

The Godowsky Collection, Vol.5 - Carl Fischer Music
The Godowsky Collection Vol. 5
46 Miniatures for Piano–Four Hands
by Leopold Godowsky
This volume features Godowsky’s 46 miniatures for four-hands where the student in five-finger position plays the "primo" and the teacher plays an interesting and sometimes challenging accompaniment in the "secondo". Beautifully written, Rachmaninoff used these miniatures with his own students. Complete with scholarly commentary and detailed analysis, this handsome book should be part of any piano teacher’s library.

Bach. The Mozart Concerto cadenzas included are for K.365, K.488 and K.491. As with Volume One, the fascinating and extensive notes are by noted Godowsky scholar, Dr. Millan Sachania.
